Dear Manok, owned by the Santos family, was born in 1997 from humble beginnings, taken out from the concept of the old alacarte along Cogon area where the Santos couple used to date and dine.
It all originated from a small lechon manok stall along Rizal Street until it became one of the top priority restaurants to dine in by local residents and tourists.
The couple put up their first branch in Iligan City in 1997, which immediately became an instant hit.
But since the Santos family wanted to have their own business in their hometown Cagayan de Oro, they decided to put up another branch along Captain Vicente Roa Street in 1998.
The first branch in the city also became an instant hit that the couple decided to transfer to a more convenient location, along Tiano-Montalvan Streets, its present home which has become one of the best places to dine with family and friends.
